I like the detail you have put into this.

As you are asking for comments, my suggestion would be to make the shadows a little less dark, perhaps just use a darker shade of the floor colour instead of the very dark grey/black you have used. Also be careful to keep the shadow direction consistent....is the main light source from the wall light behind the figure?

Actually, in this particular room, there is a skylight which would probably add light in a different direction (specifically on the front left-hand side, which is where the man is standing). How would I go about doing this with pixel shadows?

Then the shadow would be laid in the opposite direction from the light source...so in this case shadows would have a right hand bias going toward the back. Get a table lamp and a few objects on a table and look at the shadow directions...play with the height of the lamp and watch the fall of shadow from the objects. The shadows from a light source are very important for creating a good effect in your work. The higher overhead the light is, then the shorter the shadow will be.

The shadow from the man would have a right hand bias on the floor but if the shadow then runs up the wall it should be vertical and to the right hand side of him.
